ACTIVITY & CREDITS
QUOTAUntil we get past the holiday season and have gotten back into the swing of things, your required posts to meet quota will be THREE (3) POSTS PER MONTH. However, you will still earn credits for weekly posts. You just won't lose credits if you don't post every week.
Posts for quota start with the first of the month to the last, regardless or where those days fall in the week.
CREDITS: EARNING THEMDespite having a monthly quota (the minimum amount of posts you must make in order not to lose credits and lower your activity status), posts are still counted weekly starting at 12:00 AM CST (that's 1 AM EST and 6 AM GMT) on Sunday until 11:59 PM CST on Saturday.
(Obviously, we might get our heads a little loopy while doing post counts and checking for exact time stamps, so allowances will more than likely be made. However, if you feel any errors have been made that hurt you, please let us know!)1 post per week = 5 credits
Additional posts that week = 1 credit each
CREDITS: LOSING THEMIf you fail to make three posts within any given month (ex: you only post twice 1 December - 31 December) then you will be placed on probation (see below).
INACTIVITYIf you do not post for any of your characters at all in a one-month period and do not communicate your reasons for not posting in your attendance thread (or speak privately with one of the admins), you will be marked inactive. Your characters will lose posting privileges, any DCPs they have earned, and their profiles and owl posts will be moved to inactive sections of our site. You can apply for reactivation, but only for one character. All other characters must be earned back through credits you earn.
Basically, if you fall of the face of the earth for a month and do not talk to an admin at the very least, you lose all privileges on the site.
PROBATIONIf you do not meet quota for each month, but have either a) posted at least once or b) posted your reasons in your attendance thread, then your characters will simply go on probation.
Any posts made during probation will not earn you any credits, but they will work towards quota. When you have made quota once again*, your character will be taken out of probation and their posts will start earning credits again.
Also during probation, you will lose moderator status on your DCPs and Membership boards. You will have to ask an admin for assistance on deleting posts and threads, modifying posts made by other members, and stickying and/or locking threads.
* If your character went on probation for not making quota for the month they joined the site, and if they joined after the fifteenth of that month, then that character will only be required to make one (1) post to get out or probation. That post will not earn credits.
LEAVE OF ABSENCEIf you do not know when you will be returning or in your post on your member profile you do not give any kind of indication when you are returning, the administration may put you in a state called Leave of Absence. During this time, you will not be eligible to earn credits, but you will also not lose them. This Leave of Absence lasts for 8 weeks from the initial state change and is monitored by the administration.
YOU MAY NOT POST AT ANY TIME DURING YOUR LEAVE OF ABSENCE AND IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THIS STATUS AND ASSUMED ACTIVE AGAIN.
Your character is not eligible to earn credits during this time, that is through contest, FOTW activities, etc. You may be removed from your Leave of Absence at any time, however there are a few conditions: Each character is allowed one 8-week Leave of Absence in a 12-month period or one 4-week Leave of Absence in a 6-month period. More specific questions about your personal circumstances need to be sent to Millicent Bagnold (admin).
You may request a change to this state at the Retire/Leave of Absence thread or by simply sending a PM to Millicent Bagnold. Failure to return after an LOA will result in your character(s) being marked inactive, but you will still retain your full credit balance if you decide to return.
CREDITS: SPENDING THEMAdditional Characters cost 50 credits*.
DCPs cost 25 credits.
Residences cost 75 credits.
* all members are allowed three (3) free characters and (3) free DCPs to start with (you still must apply for the DCPs, but they will be free); once a member has exceeded three characters, the rest of their characters must be paid for
