I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. We were just kids, but even then I knew there was no one like her. I love the way she does everything. I love her flaws and I love the way she drives me crazy. I feel like life didn't make sense until she came along, and now with Harry, I know that there are things in this world that are worth fighting for, whether you're fighting others to protect them or your fighting your own worst instincts. To me, Lily is the best of everything, and she is definitely the best of me. |

Lily Evans Potter is an extraordinary person. She and I were a lot alike in school - studious, stickler for the rule types who didn't think a rebellious attitude towards life made a person better than others. We dated for a good part of my seventh year, and I must have been the only idiot in the castle who didn't know she was in love with James Potter. I suppose I just had trouble seeing what she sees in him, which over the years has become more apparent... to some people. I think he's still a self-righteous prick, but he makes Lily happy, and that's what really matters. I'm glad she's happy. |

Lily is one of my best friends and a shining example to us all. I've always been extremely jealous of her beauty, her cleverness, her innate ability to make everyone fall in love with her, but more than anything I am endeared by and even proud of her good traits and accomplishments. I don't know what I'd do without her and I've come too close to finding out. |

I adore Lily Evans. She reminds me so much of all of my sisters - well, not Hannah - and I mean that in the best way. I've always admired her, especially the way she put up with James for all of those years. He's so adorable, I would have broken down sooner. I'm really grateful that she and her adorable family are alright. I don't think I could have taken any more bad news hitting so closely to home.

I've always known of Lily back when we were in school but only got to know her more upon dating Melissa and becoming a Prefect while she was Head Girl. Since then I've grown closer to her and come to call her one of my close friends. Her family is like family to mine, maybe it's because we're one of the few from the Class of 78' with our own families. Our kids play together, and one day go to Hogwarts together. For all we know might end up in the same house and best of friends. Anyway, back to the present. I'm so glad Lily and her family survived and are still with us, we have been through a lot. We've been there for one another and will continue doing so and continue being friends.

Lily's been my friend since we were eleven years old, so long ago now. Since being sorted into Gryffindor together our friendship has grown and we have just got closer over the years, becoming a family of sorts. Most of my friends from that house have become like my family. Lily is lovely, warm hearten and caring who has a lovely little family of her own now. We've always been there for one another and will continue doing so, I look forward to her returning to work so we can have lunches together once again.

If you are lucky enough to have Lily call you her friend, then you should never be foolish enough to jeopardize it in anyway. Lily is not only a singularly gifted witch, she is also an uncommonly kind woman. She has a way of seeing the beauty in others, even, and perhaps most especially, when that person cannot see it in themselves.

Lily's a really likable person. She's very friendly and supportive of almost everyone I've ever seen her interact with, and I remember clearly a night when I was ready to give up on studying for NEWTs because I was sure I wouldn't score well enough to get into the auror training program, and she just patted me on the shoulder and told me I was being silly. And she said it like she meant it, not in that naive and condescending way some people do. She's one of those people that makes me wish I were nicer... Not that I'm not nice. |
