We Might As Well Be Strangers (Relations)

Though I do know Chris from Hogwarts, I came to know him more at work though he is in a different ward from myself. I have always liked Chris, he's become my friend, even if we don't really see each other outside of work unless we bump into one another or have lunch else where during our working days. He's a nice guy, very caring and kind which I think is a must for anyone working in our career.

Christopher, Christopher, Christopher....we have known each other for so long that I can't remember back to when I did not know him. I had almost always thought that he was cute, but that was it. Nothing ever happened between us. We are better as friends anyway. He sort of became my brother away from my brothers. Wonder if that makes me like his sister.... Eh. Anything outside of friendship is too much to handle. We clung to each other at school because of our similar heritage. If there is a scary movie showing, I will always cling to him.

Our beautiful friendship started at school when he stole my seat in the library to study one day. I wasn’t really mad at him. I was only joking, but I guess it was too soon for him to know that. Either way he gave me back my seat and we shared my study table for the next six years. My goal in life quickly became to loosen him up. He was too hard on himself and hid behind the rules too much. Honestly, I think he had the rule book memorized… My proudest moment was the night all the toilet paper disappeared from the castle.

After school I had to return to Italy, but we kept on writing each other keeping each other up to date. It became much harder to lead him to the dark side via letters, but I keep on trying. That boy needs some fun in his life. I was devastated when I found out he was missing. When we finally found him I could not even recognize him. Though I was disguised as Calla, he knew it was me. The first thing I said when I saw him was “Kisna Christmas!” Christmas was my nickname for him after one drunken night when I couldn’t pronounce his whole name. I can’t be blamed. It’s rather long.

Christopher's very tidy. I never really liked him or disliked him while we were in school, but my fondness for him grew tenfold after he went missing. I've always accused Evie of being crazy, but I had no idea what that would look like on her until he was gone. They make a very strange couple, but I've never met two people who compliment each other like those two do.

Also, he's very handy for fetching things on the top shelf. Levitation spells are not nearly as reliable.

Christopher was always nice to me, though I never thought he had to. I don't think he could be mean, actually. I never wanted to be the little sister that had to hang around her sister's friends to have some sort of validation, to be accepted as cool, or whatever possesses little sisters to do so, but Christopher was an exception for me. We never had a close relationship, but I grieved with Marlene when he was taken and I was glad when he returned.

Most of Christopher's friends are girls, and I suppose you would count me as part of the flock. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't mad in love with him at some point, but Christopher's easy to love. He's sort of everything a girl wants in a guy, which baffles us all as he's incredibly awkward and has never been much of a smooth talker.

I was devastated when I heard he'd gone missing. It was shortly before Oliver's wife went missing that he was found, and it makes me sad to know that Ollie has given up hope on Lucy when no one ever gave up hope on Christopher. The circumstances are different, of course, and now that I know what life without Christopher is like, I hope to God I don't have to live that life again anytime soon.
