Basic Personality:
Christopher has a lot of trust issues that have only gotten worse since the war. He tends to take on more responsibilities than he can handle because he doesn't have to think when he's busy, and he's also paranoid that the job won't be done properly if he's not the one doing it. When it comes to relationships, he has no trouble suspecting his partner of a wandering eye. His self-esteem is pretty low, but he will always stand up for himself when challenged. He's fiercely protective of his friends and family, and will go out of his way to help people, even complete strangers. Events of the war have cracked his moral compass and Christopher is still recovering from some of the things he was forced to do. Despite being tortured by recent events in his past, however, Christopher is eager to remain himself and to carry on with his life.

Biography:
Christopher Samuel Moffett-Smith was born on January 15, 1959 in Manchester, England. His mother, Sarah Moffett, decided to keep her name and wanted to pass it on to her son without denying his father the same right. Chris’ parents raised him to be an intelligent and well-behaved young man who worked hard and has high goals for his life. His father is an attorney and his mother is a nurse in a medical clinic. He grew up in a small home in Leeds, England where his mother keeps a garden and his father taught him how to play football. They led a good life.
On his eleventh birthday he received his Hogwarts letter. It was the most fantastic day of his life until he rode the Hogwarts Express, crossed the lake, and officially made his entrance into the magical world. He was sorted into Hufflepuff house and had a number of friends to help him understand more about the ways of the magical world. Chief amongst them was Evelyn Teague, a Gryffindor who was Muggle-born like himself, but often expressed disappointment whenever he showed his greenness. "Catch up, Moffy."
Evelyn Teague was his first kiss. It was by the greenhouses during fourth year. It was rather sloppy and awkward and after it was done, they both agreed to never do it again, a promise they kept until their fifth year, when they started drinking at parties. Under the influence, it's not unusual to find Christopher and Evie attached at the lips. The next day things would return to normal... as normal as their relationship could be.
During his seventh year, Christopher started dating Rendetta Wolffe. He was infatuated with her, but couldn't turn a blind eye to some of her more suspicious behavior, specifically her relationship with another boy in their year. They broke up on Christmas Eve, and - an example of Christopher's terrible timing - on New Year's Eve, he started a relationship with Lily Evans, a girl he'd harbored a crush on for quite some time.
They dated until the spring, when his issues with jealousy once again flared up the more he saw her with James Potter. Christopher's insecurities have been the bane of his existence ever since, but he's comforted himself in knowing that he was never wrong. Well, that wasn't exactly comforting, but he's felt less like a pathetic wanker knowing that he wasn't making up signs that weren't there.
During his time at Hogwarts, he served as Hufflepuff prefect, Hufflepuff Quidditch captain, and Head Boy. He was often busy with patrols and practices, but he would cast his duties aside to attend the parties that were held in secret, either in the common room or atop the astronomy tower. It was after the End of Term party his sixth year that he was walking a very drunk Evie back to the Gryffindor common room when they stumbled into an empty classroom and got rather carried away with each other. They didn't speak much that summer, and when they returned for their seventh year, neither spoke of the event initially. Then it became something they'd lightly joke about, although no one else seemed to get their jokes. They never did, really.
After graduating, Christopher continued to live with his parents while he started work at St. Mungo's as a healer-in-training in the Spell Damage ward. The long hours kept him from being very social, but he still managed to catch a pint with his mates and attend the occasional party. At one party in particular, Christopher and Evie once again fell into their pattern of drinking too much and getting carried away, but this time Evie was in a relationship. They stopped before things went too far, but the two didn't speak to each other for over a month. Shortly afterward they patched things up, but things weren't quite the same afterward. Evie's relationship ended because of that night and Christopher's guilt over it made their time spent together bittersweet.
In May of 1978, Evie was admitted to St. Mungo's after being stabbed by some thug on the street. Christopherhad never felt more panicked in his life than he did the moment he saw her lying in that hospital bed. But he wasn't the only one who had to suffer the pain of almost losing the person he cared about. After the graduation ceremony for the class of 1978 in June, Christopher was hit by a spell that gravely wounded him. Evie was the first one by his bedside when he woke up in St. Mungo's, reminding how selfish he was to nearly die and scare her like that. Shortly afterwards, they realized what a pair of idiots they were and began dating. It's been the easiest and hardest relationship Christopher has ever been in.
He continued to work hard at St. Mungo's and finally earned his official Healer's title in the spring of 1980. The fall of that same year, Christopher was attacked in his home and taken hostage by a group of Death Eaters. He was kept in a small basement with no light save for a small rectangular window near the ceiling. The Death Eaters had been eager to have their own pet healer, and Christopher was delighted to hear that he'd been the easiest target.
The Death Eaters always wore masks so that he would never know their identities. Christopher took comfort in this because he felt that meant they would let him live, otherwise why go through the trouble of keeping their identities a secret. During his captivity, he healed the wounds of at least three Death Eaters multiple times. He could never see their faces properly, but he did his best to try and memorize their other features. Christopher learned of Caradoc Dearborn's death the night he was asked to heal one of Caradoc's killers. He grew upset and refused and was tortured until he complied.
Christopher attempted to escape only once when the opportunity to grab his wand and make a run for it presented itself. He did not succeed. He was tortured on and off for hours before being locked in the basement for what felt like days without food. One night he heard a noise coming from upstairs - a fight. Someone was attacking the house where he'd been staying. Soon the door to the basement opened and Sirius Black stepped into the basement. He helped Christopher get out of the house, from where he was taken to one of the Order's safe houses to recover and answer questions about what he learned. That was 5 December, 1980.
His reunion with Evie was a terrible one. Christopher felt guilty for all of the pain he put her through, even if it wasn't of his own doing. All he could do was hold her and tell her he was sorry. In January of 1981, Christopher went back to work at St. Mungo's. He was encouraged to take more time off, but he knew that if he didn't keep busy he would drive himself crazy. He's happiest when he isn't alone, so when he's not working he spends the majority of his time with Evie or in the company of his friends.
On 3 November, 1981, Christopher asked Evie to marry him. She said yes.
