PERSONALITY
Erised:
Jude wishes he could have music without the press or the lifestyle it introduces, but there is no way around it; people have fortified an image of him now due to his stints in rehab and two hit records in four years and they will never ever let him out of the boxed image they have created of him.
Dementor: He over-dosed at Blackbushe 1978 when Bob Dylan pressed a few tabs into his palm just moments before. He doesn't remember the rest of the night, just someone screaming for thirty minutes.
Patronus:
"If you want to sing out, sing out."
Lennon and Lucy love Cat Stevens. They don't know the words yet, but they like to sigh along with the sound whenever Jude plays the tune on the piano.
"And if you want live free, live free..."
Lucy has some serious pipes and Lennon loses interest, but they're his biggest fans, two kids all curled up on the blanketed carpet right near his feet.
Boggart:
Jude fears himself more than anything... especially when he is on the left side of the bed at night.

Basic Personality:
Jude is a soft-spoken kid who grew up in the Bronx in a one bedroom apartment with his kid sister and two older siblings; he is the only one of them who takes after the father he never had. He doesn't like show, or flash bulbs, but likes a good chord or two and to lie on his couch and smoke in silence. He is a smooth talker who watched too much Humphrey Bogart at age eight and his slack-jaw, sly grin is enough to prove that he isn't trying.

Biography:
EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT.
Jude Cade was born in December on the kitchen floor of a tiny brick walled apartment in the Bronx; it was a humble beginning for the boy who managed to snag a spot in detention every single day while he attended elementary school in the rough part of town. He wouldn't stop trying to climb the chain link fence in the yard and somedays, Jude feels like he is still trying to climb it.
His childhood is uneventful; he sits at his mother's feet in the kitchen and meets his father twice when he returns home to press cash into his mother's hands. Just enough for rent for the next five years. When he doesn't come back in six, Patricia gets a job at the laundry mat two blocks from their house and Jude walks his younger sister to school in the mornings and tells her not to stare at people who stare at her.
Daisy-Marie leaves home when she turns eighteen; the very same year Jude leaves for Hogwarts. Patricia doesn't want to speak to them for two years after and Jude tries to understand, but instead, he gets a part time job for the summers and presses cash into his mother's hands.
Jude's time at Hogwarts was relatively relaxed; he is popular with girls, plays the guitar and smokes too much in the dormitories. He dates, fucks, and breaks hearts, but treats them nicely because hell, he watched his father pop his mother once or twice in the jaw and he doesn't like songs that are over-played. Professor McGonagell tells him he is bright and he doesn't really study, skirting by just enough until he graduates;
It's in his sixth year that he meets Leonard Homesly, an agent from Abbey Road who tells him that his quick guitar skills and rustic voice are nice. Jude signs a contract and the song that changes everything from uneventful to more than is birthed.
I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me..
People like it; they really, really like it and it is a slow song that Jude wrote for a girl who was his best friend, who he needed to be more than just a best friend.
"What's a Wonderwall?"
"Who is the Wonderwall?"
When are you going to write another?"
"Shit.. I don't know, it rhymes with 'after all.'
Jude Cade booked thirteen shows in one year, opening for the likes of Bob Dylan and Waylon Jennings. It is Bob Dylan who introduces him to mind-expanding drugs; which were supposed to make his music better, his sound more unique and his vision wider. Jude accepts because he tries everything once and it is Ren who finds him in the shower, choking on his own vomit when he tries them more than once... the first time.
Ren doesn't want to see him when he is in Rehab for six months and his best friend who sat next to him at Hogwarts won't look at him for three months after that and so he waits for her to come back to him. She does and it is Leonard that finds him over-dosed just three months later.
This time; she doesn't leave him at all.
In two years, Jude produces two hit records, a relationship that is at times unhealthy, 36 incredible performances and 19 performances in which he doesn't play at all.
At the very end of 1979, Ren gives birth to his children, three months after his second stint in Rehabilitation and in a quiet hospital outside of Bath; she had been living there in complete isolation until Jude checked out and back into her life. They stayed out of the public eye and sent owls their friends on occasion, keeping the pregnancy private and secret due to Jude's reputation.
The letters did not include anything regarding the pregnancy.
In 1981, toward the end of the war and outside of Jude's muggle and wizarding music scene, Jude cuts a new record, in which the title track, 'Devils and Dust' pro-actively and subtly supports the rebellion against the dark lord; it is adopted as a war song and it launches him back to the top of the charts. However, it is only after the end of the Dark Lord's reign that he and Ren move back to London, children now in the Lime Light and no longer a secret...
Understandably, it might come as a shock.
And the tabloids are eating it up.
