Biography:
     Nicholas Charles Logan was born on 18th August 1943 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia to his parents Charles and Esme Logan. Nick, has he is more commonly known and called, is a only child due to his mother having health problems not long after he was born and later dying while he was a young child. It was his mothers wish for him to attend Hogwarts like she had done and his father kept to those wishes by sending him away.

     Nick enjoyed his time at Hogwarts, making friends with fellow Gryffindors in his year and others, like that of the Wenlocks, Edward Wenlock was in the same year as him but in another house while Mina was in Gryffindor but a couple years younger. Logan joined his Quidditch team in his second year as a beater and continued to play that position until he graduated. Though he tried to keep in touch with a couple people after leaving the school he soon lost touch, the same happened for his family. His father had turned to that of drink to try and forget the death of his wife and whenever Nick tried to get or offer help was yelled at, sometimes being hit if he wasn't quick enough to duck from his fathers hand or flying bottles. Knowing he couldn't do anything else, he packed up the few things he had and brought some muggle wheels before heading onto the road and travelling.

     He travelled the world for awhile, trying to find some form of work but failing. Nick wasn't sure what he wanted to do at first for a career until he came across some guys trying to calm down a Acromantulas. He thought he would help out and the boss was impressed, offered him a job. Nick took the job and got into working with dangerous animals and since different creatures are found in different parts of the world it meant he had to do a lot of travelling which he didn't mind and soon came to love. Nick has been to Asia, Greece, Romanian, Wales and Sweden to name a few, (He has also learned to speak a few languages due to living in the same area for week, months or even a year). Logan has worked with many dangerous creatures over the years, mostly that of Dragons but he has also worked with, Acromantulas, Cerberus's, Trolls, Runespoors and even a Manticore once. Manticores are one of the Wizarding world's most dangerous creatures and are very rare.

     While in Greece he meet a muggle who caught his interest, it was sometime before he fell in love, being someone who guards his heart carefully but when he did it wasn't long before he asked Calantha to marry him. The Logans had a lovely life and she did not mind about the magical world or what he did for a living, though she did worry about him at times. They had a few happy years together until the worse happened. Mrs Logan had been out and about the local town by herself when she was mugged, she tried to put up a fight from some of the moves Nick had showed her but the two guys were stronger and faster, killing her and taking her money and jewellery. Nick hasn't been the same since then, getting even more guarded with who he lets in. He has always been that of a loner, even more so now as his worse fear is letting someone close again only to lose them.

     Logan continued to travel and do his job, wanting to keep busy and have his mind off things he didn't want to think of. In the early Summer of 1977 Albus Dumbledore, who he hadn't spoken to since leaving the castle, contacted him about the open job of Care of Magical Creatures Professor. Though Nick was unsure at first, he thought it might be time to slow down a little and settle in one place for awhile. Agreeing to take the position for at least a year to see how he liked it. Dumbledore had told him about the Wenlocks teaching at the school also and Nick got in touch with Mina Wenlock, wanting to see how things were and hoped she herself and her brother could help ease him into the castle and that of teaching. Something of which he never saw himself doing and is unsure if he is right for the job.
